Frequently Asked Questions
Have a question about my art, policies, or my process?
Click on the FAQ's below and if you don't see what you're looking for, please contact me to find out more.
How long will it take for me to receive my order?
Thank you for your recent order! I am always creating new work and in some cases paintings may require additional time for drying and varnishing. Please allow at most 2 weeks for U.S. orders and up to 3-4 weeks for international orders.
what Materials and mediums do you use for your paintings?
Professional grade acrylic paints were used to create all paintings. All canvas and watercolor papers are professional grade and 100% acid free. For paintings on canvas, a final, permanent, isolation coat has been applied followed by a removable, gloss or satin varnish containing UVLS (Ultraviolet Light Stabilizers) to provide added protection from ultraviolet light as well as to help resist scratching, marring, and moisture. For longevity, paintings should be displayed away from direct sunlight and should not be hung in an area of high humidity.
Most works on paper are painted on 100% cotton, archival, 300lb, heavyweight, watercolor paper. I use this heavier weight of paper as it does not buckle or wrinkle with multiple layers of acrylic paint. As a result, it cannot be rolled. I ship these works of art in a large (approximate size is 20” x 26” x 2”), sturdy, cardboard box for protection.
how can i determine Color Accuracy?
I do my best to accurately represent the colors within a painting. However when purchasing a painting, please note that color and brightness is extremely variable from screen to screen. If you are trying to match colors or have any concerns about color accuracy, please contact me before purchasing so that we can discuss.
do any of your paintings include framing?
Prices do not include framing for works on canvas or framing/matting for works on paper. If you would like me to make a framing suggestion, just send me an email and let's discuss!
Canvas paintings. All canvas paintings will be wired for hanging and will be “ready to hang” when you receive them, but will not be framed.
Paintings on paper. Paintings on paper will not be matted or framed unless indicated. Proper framing is important for works on paper to prevent damage and the degradation of the materials used to create the painting. For best results be sure that all framing and mounting elements are made with archival materials. A mat or spacer should be used to prevent the painting from coming in direct contact with the glass.
how can I be the first to know about the availability of new work?
The release of new paintings for sale are announced through my newsletter to subscribers (sign up to join the "Collector's Circle", see the sign up form at the bottom of this page) and also on Instagram.
